At 21:13 hours, Yorktown's bravest were dispatched to a reportedly Fully Involved Vehicle Fire on the Taconic State Parkway North-Bound (Just south of Route 134 - Kitchawan Road On Ramp). Engine 273 and Car 2536 signed on almost immediately after dispatch.

Upon arrival, car 2536 closed the Right Lane & Shoulder, while Engine 273 stretched a line from the Route 134 ramp. Crews made a rapid knockdown of the fire, and were able to clear the scene just before 2200 hours.
