| At 12:54AM: YHFD Volunteers were dispatched to respond with the FASTeam mutual aid to Lake Mohegan for a building fire on Crompond Road. Westchester County Fire Communications (60 Control) advised responding units that they were receiving multiple calls stating heavy fire through the roof of an abandoned car dealership. As Engine 270 was responding with a crew as the FAST Truck on the initial alarm a glow could be seen in the sky from Station 2 at the same time arriving Mohegan units advised heavy fire through the roof of an 80X200 Commercial abandoned car dealership and requested a 2nd alarm be sounded. As 2nd alarm companies were being alerted Ladder 51 was put on the transfer to Lake Mohegan Fire HQ. Less than a minute later a 3rd alarm was struck, bringing Ladder 51 to the scene. As the Truck was responding with a crew Engine 270 was put to work and relocated to the Old Crompond Road to work with Engine 255 and the crew from Truck 51 when they arrived. Engine 270's crew cut the fence to gain access to the rear and moved the five inch for Ladder 51 to get decent position for master stream operations. Crews remained on scene for some time while 3 Ladder Pipes and 1 Tower Ladder along with multiple portable master streams tried to get a handle on it. As the fire was being placed under control Engine 270 was released from the scene with the Truck following shortly there after. The YHFD would like to Thank Mount Kisco Volunteers Engine 104 and Ladder 43 for standing by at Station 1 and Somers Volunteers Engine 185 for standing by at Station 2 during the incident.
