Suspicious Car Fire on Waverly Rd |

| At 2324 hrs, Yorktown Fire was alerted to an unknown type fire in the area of Waverly Rd and Welsch CT. Engine 272, Engine 270, Chief 2531 and 2532 signed on responding moments after dispatch. Car 2532 and Engine 272 arrived and updated incoming units that there was an active car fire off to the side of the road. Upon further investigation, it was determined that the cause of the fire was of suspicious nature, and that further investigation is required by the police. Engine 272 stood by and provided scene lighting for Yorktown Police, and the Cause an Origin team. They picked up 3.5 hours later after the team wrapped up their initial investigation. |
