Rollover with Ejection on Southbound Taconic

At 1621 hrs, Yorktown Fire, Millwood Fire, YVAC, OVAC, 34-Medics and the NYSP were dispatched to the southbound Taconic Parkway south of Underhill avenue in the area of the pump house for a rollover with ejections.

Mini Attack 8, Rescue 16, Engine 273, Millwood Engine 247 all signed on responding. Mini Attack 8 was the first FD unit in the area, had a visual on the accident and updated units that the accident was going to be under the Underhill Ave Bridge.

A county police unit was on the scene and had the road shut down as MA-8 responded northbound in the southbound lanes to access the accident. Upon arrival, MA-8 established Taconic Command, confirmed a rollover with ejection, advised all incoming units that the TSP was now closed southbound and that access would be made by coming north in the southbound lanes, and that they would update with the number of patients shortly.

Yorktown and Millwood Fire units secured the scene and determined there to be 2 patients, assisted EMS in handling the patients, and secured the fluid spill. Millwood fire was released once the patients were in the care of EMS, and Yorktown Fire returned to service once the car was in control of the Towing company.
