My Brother Vinny is a charity organization founded in the memory of Vincent Miritello, with a mission to provide the emotionally, mentally, and physically disabled with a piece of happiness in their everyday lives.
The coat and food drive was a huge success and members of Yorktown's Bravest, have assisted in collecting, sorting, and re-packaging for delivery all the generously donated items.
The drive has donated over 1000lbs of food to the The Food Bank for Westchester, as well as items to the Mohegan Park Home for Adults, The Westchester Coalition for the Homeless & Hungry, the SPCA of Westchester and other charitable organizations in our community!
Many members of YHFD assisted in this drive and a few people need to be recognized for their tremendous work. Huge thanks to the YHFD Junior Corp, Ex-Chief Martin McGannon, FF Kenny Beck, and FF Rich Webber!
The Yorktown Heights Fire Department would also like to thank the organization's founder Paula Miritello for allowing us to assist in this tremendous cause.
