At approximately 0200Hrs YHFD F.A.S.T. Was requested to a 2nd alarm fire in croton at 170 Grand Street. Rescue 16 with the F.A.S.T. Responded and was assigned as the second F.A.S.T and was requested to take up a position on side C. Members cut down several fences to access the rear of the fire building to place portable ladders for egress. YHFD members assisted in protecting the exposure D building which had minimal separation. Upon transitioning into a defense operation YHFD members Stretched handlines into exposure D and prevented fire extension. YHFD members were then reassigned as the F.A.S.T. While croton members began overhaul YHFD operated until released at 0530Hrs.
