As many take to the seashores during the summer, some members of Yorktown Fire found skating on ice a method of cooling off.
A few members of Yorktown Fire along with other members of area Fire Departments belong to an Ice Hockey team. Their team's name is Deuce Deuce Hockey Club, and this summer they are taking on the Smoke Eaters in a charity ice hockey game. This game is to raise money for Burn Care Everywhere.

Burn Care Everywhere Foundation, Inc. Is a not-for-profit organization and its mission is dedicated exclusively to the development and implementation of programs meant to improve the quality of life for both burn center patients and their families.
