Water Rescue Team Responds to Croton Falls for Drowning Victim

On August 19th at 1440 hours, Yorktown's Water Rescue Unit was called into assist Croton Falls FD with the search of a possible drowning victim. A full complement of divers, along with Rescue 55 along with Marine 55 and Marine 56 were responding immediately after dispatch. Already on location was Mahopac Fall's VFD who had placed a diver in the water. Upon arrival at the scene, Yorktown's crew confirmed the last scene point of the victim, and was about to enter the water when Mahopac Falls' diver located the victim. Crews removed the victim and attempted resuscitation efforts while transporting him to the hospital. Unfortunately the victim succumbed to his injuries.
