At 16:14 Yorktown Fire was dispatched to Rt. 129 in the area of Underhill Ave. for a reported motor vehicle accident (MVA); car into the woods, down an embankment. Units assigned to the call were Engine 270, Rescue 16, and Engine 273. On arrival members set up rescue safety ropes and a low angle rescue ropes to retrieve the patient. The patient was removed and medivac (air ambulance) to Westchester Medical Center.
Yorktown Fire units remained on the scene until the vehicle was removed by tow company.
Yorktown Police are investigation the cause of the accident.
