Thursday evening Four of Yorktown Fire newest volunteers were among the one hundred and twenty eight that were honored at a graduation ceremony at the Department of Emergency Services in Valhalla.
"Obviously it takes a great deal of special knowledge to be a firefighter," "More importantly, it takes a special kind of person: the kind of person who puts his neighbors and community first; the kind of person who puts himself or herself in harm's way to save life and property."
(County Executive Robert P. Astorino)
We at Yorktown Fire congratulate our newest members and welcome them to the family of firefighters. Keep up the good work and never stop learning!
“Let no man’s ghost return to say his training let him down”
