In North America there are approximately 50 deaths a year on lake ice. In 2016 there were 41 fatalities. Changing temperatures lead to 60% of those fatalities.

Ice Safety Tips:
-Know the Safe thickness
-Assess the area visually
-Know the Ice Color Wheel
-Know proper self-rescue techniques
-Watch your K9, and always keep them on a leash.
