At 17:46hrs Yorktown Heights Fire was dispatched for a report of smoke coming from a residence on Oslo Drive.

Cars 2531, 2532, 2533, Engine 271, Engine 272, Ladder 51, Rescue 16 from Yorktown Heights Fire. Along with Tower Ladder 57 as the FASTeam from the Bedford Hills Fire Department responded on the initial assignment.

YHFD units arrived to find smoke coming from the rear of the residential structure and transmitted a 10-75 (working fire). Crews from Engine 271 secured their own positive water supply and stretched the pre-connected 150’ front bumper line into the fire building. YHFD crews located a fire in the kitchen area of the home and had the main body of fire knocked down in short order.

Additional YHFD crews performed primary and secondary searches for any possible victims and fire extension with negative results for both.

Due to the quick and efficient knockdown, all mutual aid units responding to the scene were returned to service prior to arrival.

YHFD units remained on scene to perform overhaul and assist the fire investigators.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation at this time.
