***Mutual Aid-Structure Fire*** On Monday, January 15th at 08:46am. Yorktown Heights Fire was dispatched to respond with our Tanker and manpower for the 2nd Alarm fire with reports of people trapped on Roa Hook Rd in Continental Village. Cars 2531, 2532, 2533, and Tanker 14 with 8 Yorktown Heights Volunteer Firefighters responded on the run. Upon arrival, Tanker 14 was assigned to assist with water supply operations as other YHFD members were put to work to assisting with completing searches on all divisions, opening up and operating hose lines. YHFD members operated on scene for about two hours with multiple agencies from Westchester, Putnam and Rockland counties. Kudos to the Continental Village FD and Cold Spring FD chief officers that arrived on scene first and conducted primary searches ahead of the hose line in order to successfully rescue and remove two victims from the fire building and the medics and EMT’s on scene that provided patient care.
