At 11:38hrs on Wednesday, May 7th. Yorktown Heights Fire was requested to respond with Ladder 51 for the 10-75 (Working Fire) on Newton Ct to assist the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department.
Car 2532, and Ladder 51 with 5 Yorktown Heights Volunteer Firefighters responded on the run. While en-route the 2nd alarm was transmitted by E-119 bringing in additional resources into the scene.
Ladder 51 arrived on scene and assumed first due Truck company responsibilities. YHFD Volunteers laddered the building, completed searches, opened up, and performed overhaul with Car 2532 who was assigned as “Division 2.”
YHFD units operated on scene until approximately 14:00hrs with additional crews of YHFD members standing-by in district to cover any additional calls for service.
