On February 4th at 14:59hrs YHFD units were dispatched to the intersection of RT 118 and RT 129 for a MVA with injuries. First arriving unit Car 2531 arrived to find a serious MVA with two patients and heavy entrapment. Rescue 16 and Engine 273 arrived a short time later and went to work accordingly. Crews popped both the front and rear driver side doors and rolled the dash to free the patient's legs and feet and were preparing to remove the B post when it was deemed that the patients could be freed without this action. Car 2531 requested that STAT- Flight Medivac land at the intersection of RT 118 and RT 100 to take the priority patient to Westchester Medical Center while the other patient was being transported by ground. Units turned the scene over to Yorktown PD for their investigation and all YHFD Units cleared the scene at 15:52hrs.
