On August 2 at 17:48hrs Yorktown units were dispatched for the MVA with Injuries at the intersection of RT 100 and RT 134. Car 2531 and Rescue-Engine 270 with 6 volunteers were responding almost immediately after dispatch along with Engine 273. Units marked on scene to find a small four dour sedan that struck a mid size SUV. Crews performed a simple "door-pop" to free the driver of the SUV while the rest of the crew assisted or more less did the vast majority of patient care for EMS for the multiple patients in both vehicles while we waited for the two ambulances to arrive. Units cleared at 18:48hrs after the removal of the vehicles. This was just the 1 of 9 calls the YHFD Volunteers responded to during the day. Including the 5 of 9 calls being possible house fires due to homes hit by lighting in under a two hour period of time.
