Yorktown Firefighters Participate in County HAZMAT Drill

On Sunday, September 28, firefighters from Yorktown responded to Valhalla as members of the Westchester County Hazardous Materials Response Team. The incident was for a simulated chlorine leak at the DEP facility (Shaft 18). Lieutenant Ralph Dykeman and Captain Chet Swirski were part of the initial entry team that donned Level A HAZMAT suits. Firefighter Rich Siepel was part of the Decon Team.
