On September 25th Yorktown held their annual Chief's Inspection Dinner Dance. Departments from all over Westchester County attended. New York State Senator Vincent Leibell was presented with an appreciation plaque for his continued support, from Chairman George Lewis of the Yorktown Fire District.
This year's annual Chief's Apparatus Trophy was presented to firefighters Derek Grisanti and Jeff Slotoroff for their outstanding work performed on Engine 271 and MA-8. The two of them worked countless hours on their assigned rig. This year the Chiefs also presented a Firefighter of the Year Award to Matt Lauria. Firefighter Lauria received this recognition for his outstanding contribution to the Yorktown Heights Engine Co. and the Yorktown Fire District. Congratulations Matt on a job well done!
