Shortly after 5:30pm on February 3rd, Yorktown's Bravest were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with extrication on route 129. Crews from Rescue 16 arrived to find a one car accident who was the victim of a hit and run by a tractor trailer. Although the driver had no serious injuries, firefighters needed to utilize the Hurst tools to perform a "door pop" on the driver side door. Firefighters extricated the patient and awaiting EMS personnel transported. Units cleared within 30 minutes.
