At 03:34Hrs- Yorktown F.A.S.T. was dispatched mutual aid to Somers for a working fire in a 100x 50 1 story commercial restaurant. Immediately YHFD Engine 270 was being put to work as an Engine Co. YHFD members stretched a 2nd line into the kitchen area on the D (Delta) side of the building and assisted Somers members in opening up the ceiling area of the kitchen where the fire was running the cockloft area. YHFD and Somers FD Members with the use of 2 lines and labor intensive ceiling pulling contained the fire to the ceiling over the kitchen and D side of the building. YHFD and other units assisted in overhaul until released at approximately 0625Hrs. Thank You to Bedford Hills FD for taking up the F.A.S.T. assignment.
