At 3:18 on December 8th, Yorktown Fire, YVAC, YPD and the 34-Medics were dispatched to RT 134 and IBM's entrance ramp for a rollover with possible entrapment. Engine 270 and Rescue 16 signed on responding moments after dispatch. IBM's emergency response team, along with a Yorktown firefighter who works on the site, responded to the scene as well.
The driver struck the safety barrier that protects the gates, which launched his SUV in the air and rolled it on its side.
IBM's Emergency Response Team found an overturned vehicle on IBM's main access way, with a single patient who had self extricated upon their arrival. They updated incoming Fire of EMS units of the situation, provided patient care, and handed the scene over to incoming units upon their arrival.
Yorktown Fire cleared the scene without further incident.
