On Friday, 7/20 and in the morning of 7/21, two members of Yorktown's water rescue unit, partook in water search and rescue techniques with the United States Coast Guard unit under the Tappan Zee Bridge. The knowledge that these members gained will be brought back to the unit, and the rest of the members will be trained in the new SAR maneuvers as well.
Yorktown's Water rescue team has recently been included on initial Box alarms in a few neighboring departments, who's boarders are the shore of the Hudson river.
